Message From Camp Director
My name
is Alyson Vislocky and I am the Girl's
Camp director for the Lake Oswego
Lacrosse Camp. This is the eighth year of camp and we are excited for summer to arrive.
We always welcome both beginning and intermediate players but at the same time challenge each player's lacrosse ability. With great coaches and innovative drills, the camp experience is both a fun and effective lacrosse experience.
Once again we will have many college
lacrosse players contributing as camp
counselors with Division I and Division III experience. We are a local camp, with big time feel! We are excited to have out returning campers back and to get to know the new players attending camp this summer.
“Give LAX Back” includes:
The camp will be implementing
its second year of the “Give LAX Back” program this 2008 year that encourages parent involvement and education in the sport of lacrosse. We pride ourselves in our year round involvement in youth lacrosse in the State of Oregon.
Parent and Coaches Educational Packet/ Instruction-For $15 parent and/or coaches will receive a printed packet with rules, instruction and drill ideas. Parents will also receive a 1 hour of optional informative and educational observation session in which they will watch players during the camp week to learn more about the game in action. Although only 1 hour will be set aside for instruction, we extend an open invitation for parents and coaches to observe camp anytime during the course of the week. (More information will be provided with confirmation email.)
Free Team Practice-This year Lake Oswego Lacrosse Camp wants to thank teams that send their players to our summer camp sessions. As a result, teams that send more then
8 players per team this summer 2008 will be given a free instructional practice during the 2009 spring lacrosse season. We will keep track of the number of players per team that attend camp and inform team coaches and managers when the quota has been reached. As a result, during the upcoming spring, Lake Oswego Lacrosse Camp Director will work with the coaches to organize a practice that caters to the needs and development of the whole team.
Please encourage your youth programs to attend camp so skills can be developed at team and individual level. If you have questions please contact, Aly Vislocky

Camp Details
The camp will be divided into beginning, intermediate and advanced levels based on playing ability. We will focus on passing, catching, shooting, rolls, cradling, movement of the field, and teamwork. We will also have daily scrimmages and skill building drills that focus on offensive and defensive basic fundamentals. in addition, we offer instruction on the rules and regulations of the game. Finally, we have an end of the week game which allows parents and coaches to view the progress of the players.
